This project involves the conversion of a former restaurant into a private apartment in Årsta, Stockholm. The transformation redefines an 80 m² commercial unit into a functional and spatially coherent living environment.

Working within the constraints of an existing structure, the project addresses a full change of use - from public, service-oriented space to private residential use. The design carefully reconfigures layout, circulation, and light conditions to meet residential standards while making use of the spatial qualities of the original premises.

Particular focus was placed on integrating new domestic functions, upgrading technical systems, and creating a balanced relationship between openness and privacy. The result is a contemporary apartment that combines the character of its former use with the requirements of modern living.
