Strandverket reimagines Stallarholmen’s waterfront as a place to meet, move, pause and spend time by the water. The project was developed through an AI-assisted design process, allowing us to explore spatial structure, materials, vegetation, lighting and atmosphere in parallel and with a high level of detail.
Formed by water. Formed by people.
The waterfront is transformed from a passage into a destination - a continuous landscape of paths, gathering places, activities and quieter moments along Lake Mälaren. The design is guided by three simple principles: Activate, Connect and Reveal. Together, they create more reasons to stay, stronger connections along the shoreline and new views towards the water. A calm Nordic material palette and a design language balancing the robust with the soft, and the built with the organic, give Strandverket a warm and distinct character rooted in the place.
